The starting point for the unique brick U-shaped house design was the outdoor lounge. The aim was to make it the focal point and then create a large open-plan kitchen/dining/living area that seamlessly connects to it. This provides easy access to the outdoor lounge with a louvred roof and built-in barbecue, as well as an extensive front lawn. The house has excellent indoor-outdoor flow, which the kids love. The 350sqm, four-bedroom house has macrocarpa walls and ceilings in the outdoor lounge, while ply ceilings with a 4mm negative detail are present in the kitchen living area, second lounge, and hallways. The interior features wood, including macrocarpa on the floor, and brick, which contributes to the cozy ambiance. One of the two bathrooms has a living wall, adding a touch of nature to the home. The exterior features aged red brick offset with bandsawn macrocarpa, making it blend in with the rural landscape. The builder's home includes luxurious bathrooms, a double garage, and a main bedroom with a walk-in wardrobe and ensuite. The family's goal was to create a warm and relaxing atmosphere, which is reflected throughout the house.
